My love for art began when I was a child. I was born in a family of musicians and spent most of my childhood playing with musical instruments and wasting film on my father’s camera.
During my high school days, I had the honour and privilege of studying with the famous painter and engraver Maurizio Mariani, from whom I have learned many things about perspective, colour and form, his lessons changed my life, and the way I perceive art. Maurizio Mariani taught me that hands can be trained, and techniques can be learned, but first we have to train our eyes, and to do that, we have to learn to observe the world around us.

At the age of 21 I had my first official experience as a professional photographer, working in the making of a documentary on the historical bells of Florence sponsored by Friends Of Florence and Tom Barrack, then president of Miramax Films. A year later, after completing a professional AV Technician course I began to work as a camera operator and as a video editor for local tv channels like Italia 7, TGT Toscana, RTV38, Atlantide Audiovisivi.
A true milestone in my career has been working for Artex, an Italian company that deals with international fairs and art exhibitions. For Artex I have shot short documentaries to promote traditional Italian handcrafting, and then becoming part of the communication team for Scenari di Innovazione in collaboration with Isia, Galleria dell’artigianato, Mostra Internazionale dell’Artigianato di Firenze, then creating video contents for Expo Rurale Toscana 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Expo Rurale 2012 was really important for me, that year I was working on the video content and we had 200.000 people visiting the fair, it was a huge success.
I have also worked for RAI 1 (La Vita in Diretta), RAI5 where I wrote and directed a six minute documentary part of a format called Ubiq4 , I should also mention Rai 1, Linea Verde Orizzonti, SKY Sport , class horse tv, I also shot one episode of Eat parade forTG2 and we had over 5.000.000 viewers on that episode, then I did some filming also for RAI Sport, and Regione Toscana for expo Rurale 2012.
I have also worked for one year as a film maker and fashion photographer for a Franchise company called Polverini Group, working there I was also able to learn professional photo retouching and post production techniques using mainly photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
In 2014 I discovered the love for teaching and I applied for a job at the New York Film Academy, after completing the required entry steps, and being hired as a nyfa instructor, I started working in the digital cinematography and editing department of the New York Film Academy in Florence Italy and I have also been working for Nyfa as a film maker and photographer creating content for the web site and photos for brochures and social media pages.
